We’re back in the Hood in 2011 with a bigger and better event than our inaugural 2010 Gran Fondo!
Did we mention that National Geographic Adventure Magazine ranks the Columbia River Gorge as the 5th most beautiful place on the planet? Beyond the Gorge, riders will be amazed by views of glacier-covered Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams as well as endless miles of fruit orchards.
Get Dirty in the Hood
In addition to our 30, 60 and 100 mile road distances, Echelon offers a 45-60 mile on road/off road randonneur style ride for cross and mountain bike riders. You will enjoy the same fanfare at the start with the road riders and trek along the Columbia River Gorge. At around mile 10, cross/mountain riders will take a detour through dirt roads and trails, adding another fun adventure option to the gran fondo experience.
All rides finish back in Hood River where riders will be greeted by cheerleaders, great food and fabled Pacific Northwest Microbrews!
